404 Toberman Drive, Norman
DONATIONS ACCEPTED Mondays, Tuesdays, & Wednesdays 9:30-11:30am
SHOPPING is open to the public Thursdays 9am-4pm
Did you know that the First Presbyterian Church Thrift Shop has been in operation for over sixty years? Since 1960, members of this congregation have been serving the Norman Community, Campus Corner neighborhood, and surrounding areas with affordable clothes and home goods. The Thrift Shop provides support to everyone from college students needing furnishing for their apartments, to people looking for a treasure, to unhoused neighbors in need of a warm coat for winter and a friendly place to shop. This is not only the longest ongoing ministry of FPC, but also one of its most impactful as well. In addition to serving those who walk through the doors, the Thrift Shop distributes its annual proceeds to almost 19 different non-profits across Norman.

The Thrift Shop is located at 404 Toberman St. in Norman and is open to the public for shopping on Thursdays 9am-4pm, with parking on the west side of the building. It is run exclusively by volunteers from within our congregation, offering a friendly and welcoming shopping experience for all who enter the shop. Drop-off donations are accepted Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays between 9:30-11:30am. If you have items you'd like to donated, we would greatly appreciate you brining them by. Your donations provide us the continued opportunity to serve those in need within our treasured Norman community. Come by and see us!

SECOND WIND

Serving coffee and community
Second Wind is a non-profit coffee shop founded in 2008 by FPC with the goal of having an inclusive space for University of Oklahoma students to gather, study, and share a cup of coffee. As a registered non-profit (501c3), Second Wind has no set pricing, instead offering a menu based on recommended donations to provide less fortunate customers with high quality coffee without specialty coffee shop prices. In addition, a portion of annual proceeds is donated to another non-profit selected by volunteers and the community to maintain relevancy and engagement. Second Wind serves OU's students, our community, and those in need. Located in the turquoise building on the southeast side of the FPC property, we invite you to stop by for cup of coffee and to help advance FPC's mission!

welcome & hospitality committee

The mission of the Welcome and Hospitality Committee is twofold: to create an atmosphere of warmth and acceptance for those who are already part of our congregation, and to extend a heartfelt invitation to those in our community who are not yet members. We strive to make our church a beacon of love and friendship that anyone might feel called to join. Please consider being part of this exciting journey to extend our church's warmth and fellowship. Your presence and input will be a great addition to our team, enriching our collective endeavor to radiate God's love to all.

nominating committee

The Nominating Committee reviews the nominations of congregation members for the positions of deacons, elders, and trustees who will serve the church. We discern together on which members to call to serve before making a motion of recommendations at the annual congregational meeting. This committee supports the important role of individual service within FPC and welcomes any and all who would like to help serve!
