Minor Acts: Gamaliel
In a world fueled by rage and anxiety, what if patience isn't weakness—but faithfulness?
This Sunday we explored the story of Gamaliel from Acts 5, a voice of wisdom who dared to introduce patience where there was rage. When the early apostles defied orders to stop preaching about Jesus, the religious council wanted blood. But Gamaliel offered a radical perspective: "What is not of God will not last. And what is of God, you cannot stop anyway."
His words challenge us today. When fear demands we act quickly, when anger insists on immediate response, faithfulness calls us to trust. Not to do nothing—but to refuse letting fear define our actions. The first question we ask every church officer isn't about competence or opinions, but simply: "Will you trust in Jesus Christ as Lord?"
In times of uncertainty, may we be brave enough to trust that God's work doesn't need our anxiety to survive. Come explore what faithful patience looks like in a world on fire.
