Christian Education

Christian education is essential to who we are as disciples of Jesus. We believe that the purpose of learning is to help make spiritual sense out of our lives and the world. We learn to grow in faith so that in everyday life we best represent ourselves as disciples of Jesus Christ.

from field trips to community speakers.

April through November Adult Interest Center, known in short as AIC, meets at the church once a month for a program comprised of interesting and informative information followed by lunch. The AIC group also goes on a day trip once a month. December through March, AIC meets at the church twice a month for fun activities.

Past day trips include the National Cowboy & Western Hall of Fame, University of Central Oklahoma & Old North, Toy & Action Figure Museum in Pauls Valley, a peach tree farm near Stratford, Oklahoma City Museum of Art, Oklahoma History Center, Pottawatomie County Historical Society & Museum in Shawnee, and the Crystal Bridge at the Myriad Gardens in Oklahoma City. There is also a lunch at a restaurant as a part of each day trip.

The AIC members also enjoy other activities such as making Christmas baskets and delivering them to church members who are home-bound, book exchange days, hobby days, and a class on basic smartphone photography,.

When the monthly church newsletter is published, some members in the group volunteer to fold and address the newsletters in the church office.
