Mission

This year’s mission trip to the Dominican republic was a great success. David Duty, Carol Gray, Mark Griffin, Roger Harrison, Amanda Putnam, and Bob Rice made up the mission team and spent 8 days there starting on Saturday, May 30th. The mission was a 4-pronged effort that consisted of a vacation bible school, medical clinic, dental clinic, and a new project to provide clean water systems to 100 homes in three areas in and around Santo Domingo. A number of the systems were delivered by the team to homes, where Mark discussed in Spanish important points about the operation and cleaning of the systems. The response by the people was very enthusiastic. Four Dominican doctors and one dentist treated nearly 800 patients. Dr. Nadia James, the Dominican dentist, was extremely happy about the new portable and lightweight dental chair we brought.
